Luisa & Paul first met when they were working at an events company. After working many events together, a romance blossomed and they eventually started dating. One night, after their staff Christmas party, at the most wonderful time of the year, Paul popped the question.
When the couple came across Showtime Events Centre, they knew it was the perfect space to tie the knot, not only because of the stunning South Wharf location, but because of the team at Showtime Event Group (Rachel, we’re looking at you, superstar).
Jaws dropped as guests stepped inside the venue — it was covered spectacularly with fairy-lights. The expansive ceiling, impressive bar and gorgeous dance floor were particular highlights. The intimacy shared during their first dance was one of the couple’s most memorable moments from the day.
The couple celebrated the occasion with their tight-knit family, with Paul’s sister and husband, and Luisa’s sister and brother making up the bridal party.
In the lead up to their wedding, and whilst meticulously planning their special day, the couple attended a menu tasting organised by Showtime, where they delighted in trying and selecting their menu.
Luisa’s stunning dress was designed by Rafael Cucina and Paul’s suit by MJ Bale. The couple trusted the experts when it came to styling and details. A special mention goes to their florist, Boutique Melbourne, Nikos Cakes, for the delightful honeycomb crunch three-tiered wedding cake and their amazing limousine ride for the day.
Looking back, Luisa says that one of the best preparation decisions she made was to take some time to sit down and enjoy the venue after photos. She also swapped the heels for her converse, which was barely noticeable and made dancing all the more enjoyable.
When asked what advice they would give to other couples preparing for their big day, they said simply – “don’t stress and go with the flow, everything will work out incredibly.”
